40th President of the United States, from 1981 to 1989

Ronald Wilson Reagan was the 40th President of the United States, the 33rd Governor of California, and a radio, film and television actor. As president, Reagan implemented sweeping new political and economic initiatives. His supply-side economic policies were dubbed "Reaganomics". In foreign matters Reagan took on the ending of the Cold War, the 1986 bombing of Libya, and the revelation of the Iran-Contra affair.

As President he often ranks highly in public opinion polls of U.S. Presidents. Reagan was a staunch supporter of the United Nations but ran into problems with the World Court over Nicaragua and refused to participate in the World Court proceedings. Ronald Reagan was a member of the Bohemian Club and there are some famous images of Reagan and Nixon at the Grove. Reagan was a Freemason and took his inaugural oath of the presidency facing the Washington Monument, the obelisk on January 20, 1981 and he was the first president to take his oath of office from the West Wing facing the obelisk.

On March 17, 1980 during the campaign Ronald Reagan was asked if he would allow Trilateral Commission members to serve in his cabinet, and he responded by saying: "I don't believe that the Trilateral Commission is a conspiratorial group, but I do think its interests are devoted to international banking, multinational corporations, and so forth. I don't think that any Administration of the U.S. Government should have the top nineteen positions filled by people from any one group or organization representing one viewpoint. No, I would go in a different direction."

After a Bitter Primary fight, Reagan chose George H. W. Bush, a Trilateralist

to be his Vice Presidential running mate, and in the end he had compromised his position and filled his administration with 28 CFR members, 10 Bilderbergers, and 10 Trilateralists. Reagan also had the personal support of David Rockefeller as they both belonged to the elitist Bohemian Club in San Francisco. In the end Reagan took the bait and became just another Trilateralist President, fulfilling the agenda's of his handlers.
