2 Timothy 3:12 Yes, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
Matthew 24:9-10 Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death,
And you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,
Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall Tribulation, or Distress, or Persecution, or Famine, or Nakedness, or Peril, or Sword?
2 Corinthians 8:2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded toward the riches of their liberality.
2 Corinthians 12:10 Therefore I take Pleasure in Infirmities, in Reproaches, in Necessities, in Persecutions, in Distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
2 Thessalonians 1:4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure:
Hebrews 1 1:35 - 39 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
And others had trials of cruel mockings and scourgings, yes, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins;
Being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
1 Peter 4 12 - 19 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice,
In as much as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, happy are you; for the spirit of glory and of God rest's upon you:
On their part He is evil spoken of, but on your part He is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed;
But let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begins with us, what shall the end be of those that obey not the gospel of God?
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
Romans 8:16-18 God's Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings
In order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
Matthew 13:20-22 The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away.
The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful.
Mark 4:17 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away...
Daniel 12:1-13 At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then.
But at that time your people — everyone whose name is found written in the book — will be delivered. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end.
Many will go here and there to increase knowledge." Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank. One of them said to the man clothed in linen,
who was above the waters of the river, "How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?" The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river,
Lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, "It will be for a time, times and half a time.
When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed." I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, "My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?" He replied,
"Go your way, Daniel, Because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked.
None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand. "From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.
Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days. "As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance."
2 Timothy 3:1-7 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous,
Without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth.
Matthew 24 - Signs of the End of the Age - And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the signs of your coming, and of the end of this age?
And Jesus answered and said to them, Take heed that no man deceives you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ (or Christ like) and they shall deceive many. And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars:
See that you are not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences,
And earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
And then shall many be offended, and they shall betray one another, and they shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many...
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many will wax cold. But he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations;
And then shall the end come. When you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place, whosoever hears, let him understand:
Then let them which are in Judea flee into the mountains: Let him who is on his housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him who is in the field return back to take his clothes.
And woe to them that are with child, and to those who have infants in those days! And pray that your escape not be in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day: For then shall be Great Tribulation,
Such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Then, if any man shall say unto you, look, here is Christ, or Christ is there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christ's, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; in so much that, if it were possible, they should deceive the very elect.
Behold, I have told you before. Therefore if they shall say to you, Behold, he is in the desert; Don't go there: behold, he is in the secret chambers; don't believe it. For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west;
So shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For where ever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
And the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.' And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Now learn the parable of the fig tree; When it's branches are yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near: So likewise when you shall see all these things happening, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Verily I say to you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,
And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for you don't know what hour your Lord will come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what hour the thief would come,
He would have watched, and would not have had his house to be broken up. Therefore be ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man will come. Who then is that faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord has made ruler over his household,
To give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, to whom his lord when he comes shall find so doing. Verily I say to you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
But and if that evil servant say's in his heart, My lord is delaying his coming; And begins to abuse his fellowservants, and eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he is not looking for him,
And in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That you be not soon shaken in mind, nor troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word,
Nor by letter as if it were from us, that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Remember, that when I was with you, I told you of these things?
And you now know what withholds that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity does already work: only he who now withholds will withhold, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed,
Whom the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusions,
That they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Daniel 11:36-45 The King Who Exalts Himself And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods,
And shall prosper till his indignation is accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god:
For he shall magnify himself above all. But in his estate shall he honor the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honor with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, And shall divide the land for gain.
And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: And the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships;
And he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown:
But these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.
But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
Revelation 13:16-17 Says when the antichrist is revealed he will force all small and great rich and poor, free and bond to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their forehead,
So that no man might buy or sell except the one who has the mark: the name of the antichrist or the number of his name.
